Marriage. The Eternal Question.

Couple of definitions to get out of the way first:
Declinations-It appears on the additional tables chart in Astrodienst. Note there is a declinations degree for the Descendant, which is the main topic of today.
Contraparallel- Which is if My Chiron is 18.6 N and my Venus is 18.4 S. North and South within orb aspect. Declinations. Note that it has the same effect as a Conjunction in Longitudes.
Parallel-Which is if My Pluto was 13.4 S and my Jupiter was 13.2 S. South and South within orb aspect. Note that it is a positive aspect similar to a Quincunx which is powerful too. However if an aspected planet is Saturn the implication is therefore negative. Otherwise it is a good aspect, called an Enhancement.
Declination Orb: 1.2 degrees. Must be accurate and within orb or otherwise worthless if the orb exceeds 1.25 in my experience. Say if my vertex is 17' 34'22 I just calculate 34.22 over 60 and I get .57, which means 17.57.

To begin with, there has been a very acute phonomenon among married couple where in the composite chart their composite Vertex is closely opposite their Ascendant, which means conjunct their Descendant. In fact, the same method can be applied to Synastry. In both longitudes and declinations, if one person's Vertex aspects the other person's Ascendant or Descendant, there lies something fateful about their possible partnership. Chiron which according to Magi Astrology is the most romantic planet whih signifies marriage is even more relevant than the Vertex whereas if one person's Chiron aspects the other person's Descendant then that is a major marriage indicator as well. In theory if you have both a Vertex to Descendant enhancement plus a Chiron to Descendant enhancement then it seems to gurantee marriage so to speak. Another relevant contact would be the Saturn to Ascendant/Descendant aspect. Saturn means having control over the pther person so if your Saturn is trine someone's Descendant you're likely to have a lot of control over their partnership/close relationship.
Now in terms of aspects I've found that Quincunxs seem to be somewhat weaker than a Conjunction (even a wider orb one as much as 5 degrees) or of course a trine. Unless there is a double aspect between both people, for example if they have a Chiron Quincunx Desendant, but they also each have their Vertex trine Each Other's Descendant, then that's probably powerful enough for the bond of marriage. The important thing to remember is the Descendant being the key to look at, howver Saturn trine Ascendant's can be particularly poignant. But Descendant enhancements are indeed more relevant if your Saturn is parallel the descendant instead of parallel the Ascendant. Remember the parallel is also much more powerful in this particular case than a contraparallel. Ideally, you would have a Chiron to Ascendant or better yet Descendant enhancemnt which is a trine or a conjunction, and a Vertex to Ascendant/Descendant aspect to round up your partnership. I have found that the Vertex conjunction to the Descendant is equally as powerful than to the Descendant, since it's after all, a conjunction.
On a side note. A Vertex to Chiron aspect is always helpful, as well as a North Node to Descendant aspect. Try it folks!!

Oh yes, another eternal question is, Venus in Pisces or Venus in Scorpio? Conan O'Brien is Venus in Pisces which I love deeply, and I love the sensitive effeminate quality for a man to be a Venus in Pisces, but strangely, Venus in Scorpio wins each time. Lest these Venus in Scorpios be named, I don't know what it is about them that wins my heart and soul. Maybe they are for people who directly associate love with sex, though it is actually more complicated than that sounds. I'm a Venus in Virgo, Mars in Capricorn and Moon in Cancer. Moon in Cancer might want to be possessed as much as Mars in Capricorn desperately needs some spice, but there is something about Venus in Scorpios essential being that attracts like a magnet.
Whereas I could write a thousand poems about Venus in Pisces and drown in their beautiful tenderness, I would throw everything away to elope with a Venus in Scorpio. Even though they are somewhat horribly vindictive human beings. Thoroughly cruel, yet it feels so good to be loved by them. Why is that?
